The Designs
Light Divine has always enjoyed dressing outside of the box, but from a young age found herself limited by the fit and feeling of clothing.
We have all heard the saying "Beauty is pain." But Light Divine had the idea that pain and discomfort did not have to be the price of feeling beautiful.
Focusing her effort on creating easily adjustable clothing for every occasion, she started this brand with the hope of delivering on the promise of beauty without the presence of pain or discomfort.
The Designer
The first time I ever tried to sew a dress, I was about 9 years old. I found some old fabric, raided my parents stash of sewing supplies and worked tirelessly to finish the dress before bedtime.
I remember how proud I was as I wrestled the dress on and waddled to the living room to show my family. And just as I had imagined, they were very impressed, but I was not allowed to wear the dress because it fit like a second skin and was incredibly short. In my true nature, I gave up for many many years.
But the next time I tried my hand at sewing, something stuck. I found myself, at 16 years old, failing and trying again and again until I got it right.
It was then that I decided to see where this road of sewing and design was going to lead me. Since then, I have participated in many markets and events and most recently,
New York Fashion Week!
I'm excited to watch as others see my vision and join me on this journey!
